CFP for Grenada Spotlight Initiative to End Violence (2023-05)

The UN Women Multi-Country Office (MCO) - Caribbean, seeks to partner with a Responsible Party (CSO) to support capacity development for civil society organisations on effective joint advocacy on GEWE and VAWG with parliament, and to support movement building and sustainability of the women’s movement and civil society through volunteerism and public sensitization across Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

The project objectives will be met through the achievement of the following outcomes and outputs.

Pillar 6: Output 6.1 - It is expected that women's rights groups and relevant CSOs, have increased opportunities and support to share knowledge, network, partner and jointly advocate for GEWE and ending VAWG, including family violence, with relevant stakeholders at sub-national, national, regional and global levels.

  • One grant to a CSO to provide training for women's rights organisations (WROs) and CSOs on effective advocacy with parliaments (15,000 USD equivalent in local currency).
  • One or more grants to a CSO coalition/consortiums will work jointly to set up a CSO network, including public sensitisation on the roles of civil society, pairing of interns and resources with organisations, and mobilising interest in volunteerism for civil society (15,000 USD equivalent in local currency).
