Natural hazards and climate change impact men and women differently for a host of factors, which include their different roles and individual and family responsibilities, and policy development and service delivery by mandating bodies.

The UN Women Multi-Country Office (MCO) Caribbean commissioned studies on the Impact of Climate Change and Disaster Risk and Cost of Inaction for the EnGenDER programme countries, to understand the differential impact and whether institutional gender biases exist. This Policy Brief Series highlights the findings of the studies re: gender-responsiveness of climate change policies and strategies and includes a mapping of the coping adaptive capacities of key vulnerable groups.

These studies and findings were completed under the Government of Canada and UK FCDO funded EnGenDER Project.
